It is easier and faster to get pregnant if you use 4WomenOnly. If you have made a decision to have a child, you should calculate the duration of your luteal phase. It is necessary for you to be able to find out what is the number of your ovulation day in your menstrual cycle. Actually, it is not that difficult, especially if you use 4WomenOnly. There is no need for you to know what is a "luteal phase" and what actually is behind the word "ovulation". Just know that your body is maximally tuned to conception several days before ovulation, during ovulation and about one day after ovulation. It is possible to get pregnant on other days of the menstrual cycle, but the probability is extremely low. Therefore, your sexual activity must be at its highest point exactly during the period of ovulation for you to get pregnant. Usually, ovulation takes place on the 14th day if you count from the beginning of the next menstrual cycle. This calculation formula suits most women, by default 4WomenOnly uses it to calculate the ovulation day (you can change this value on the 4WomenOnly). Everything is more complicated in life, every woman's body has its individual peculiarities. You can have some other duration of your menstrual cycle, some other duration of your periods at the beginning of your menstrual cycle and, naturally, the number of the ovulation day may differ. So we recommend that you actually calculate your individual ovulation day. You should take notes about how you feel every day for three menstrual cycles (you can make it one cycle, but it may lead to a large inaccuracy in calculations). Once you start it for the first time, 4WomenOnly will start the Wizard that will offer you to enter data about your menstrual cycle: the first menstruation day (it is the beginning of the menstrual cycle, specify the date when your last cycle started), the duration of your menstrual cycle, the duration of menstruation and the number of the ovulation day (if you do not know it, leave the default value, you will calculate it later). Your calendar of menstrual cycles is ready. To calculate your ovulation day, you should fill out a small form in 4WomenOnly every day. The form is automatically displayed 10 minutes (you can change this value) after 4WomenOnly is started. Also, this form will be displayed if you click a day in the 4WomenOnly calendar. Use this form to specify data about how you feel each day. The most important things are your basal body temperature, the type of cervical mucus and the state of the cervix. You specify other data at your own will, probably your gynecologist will need it. Basal body temperature is measured every day in the morning right after you wake up, advisably at one and the same time. The temperature of your body gets several tenth of one degree higher during ovulation. Do not make quick moves, just stay as if asleep. Put the thermometer into your anus. Measure and memorize the temperature. The type of cervical mucus is determined visually and by touch, check out the "Cervical Mucus" list and select the necessary value. You can do it any time during the day. The state of the cervix is determined by palpation. Palpate the cervix via the vagina. Check out the "Cervix Position" list in the form and select the necessary value. You can do it any time during the day. After you finish filling out the form, click "OK". Repeat it every day. After one menstrual cycle is over, you already can approximately determine your ovulation day (let me repeat that you should take measurements within three or more menstrual cycles for exact calculation). To do it, switch to the "Chart" page in the main window of the program. You will see charts based on data you have entered on this page. The peaks of charts will coincide with the day of your ovulation. You will see the "Recommended luteal phase lenght" value below the charts - this is you ovulation day. To change the ovulation day in the 4WomenOnly calendar, click the "Update Calendar" button on the same page and change the "Luteal phase length" value.
